Types
There are 2 basic types of threads that are applied to the body, PDO Threads and COG Threads.
PDO Threads and COG Threads are the two most common types of threads used on the body. In the case of PDO Threads, the qualified doctor inserts the ultra-thin PDO Threads horizontally or vertically with the help of a very small needle, creating a grid that holds the loosened skin, tightening and improving the texture of the skin.Inserting COG Threads is a simple procedure that can be preceded by the application of a local anesthetic cream. The qualified practitioner inserts serrated COG Threads, also known as Anchor Threads, along a predetermined track based on the needs of the problematic area, and then stretches these threads, resulting in an immediate visible lift. PDO and COG Threads are both completely absorbable, and the number used is determined by the needs of the area to be treated. Microtrauma stimulates local production of new collagen and elastin, so the method’s results improve over time.
